General Applicant Information

Vacancies: Will be listed on the Town of Red Springs Website, Town Hall job bulletin board, and/or NC League of Municipalities, NC Rural Water Association website, and NC American Water Works Association website.

Submitting a Resume:
We only accept resumes and applications for vacant positions. Applications must be submitted to the Human Resources Department by the posted closing date. Applications may be downloaded from our website or you may contact Human Resources office to get a copy of the application. A resume cannot be submitted in lieu of an application. All Town of Red Springs applications must be completed in their entirety. Only one position may be specified on the application.

Application Screening Process:
Applications meeting the minimum qualifications are referred to the hiring supervisors for their review. Applications will only be considered for the vacancy specified on the application. After the interview process is complete, all candidates interviewed will receive a letter via mail. Human Resources will notify the prospective candidate.

Probationary Period:
New employees are subject to a probationary period of at least six (6) months. If performance and conduct meet acceptable standards, a regular appointment is given. ALL Law Enforcement personnel will have a twelve (12) month probationary period with a review within (6) months from hire. If performance and conduct meet acceptable standards, a regular appointment is given.
