Interstate 95 and US 301 are located 14 miles southeast of Red Springs. US 401 is 12 miles north of the town, and US 74 is located 12 miles southwest of Red Springs.

Grannis Field at Fayetteville, 25 miles from Red Springs, offers both air freight service and regular scheduled commercial airline service on US Air, American Airlines, and ASA The Delta Connection. These airlines offer 24 flights out daily. The airport services four major hubs: Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Dallas-Ft. Worth.
